Hey Students!
Well we had our first house church meeting this past Wednesday, and we enjoyed a good time of food, fellowship and Bible study. I prayed that everyone would do well on their finals and hope that you are all now enjoying the sweetness of summer vacation! As I mentioned before, I desire this blog to be something to help us continue conversation outside of our schedule meetings in order to help us grow. So here are some thoughts I'd throw out there and encourage you all to post a comment and respond!
As we studied Revelation 1 this past Wednesday, what stood out most to you guys? Which picture of Jesus that John described in his revelation of Him struck you the most? Did your view of Jesus grow from our past meeting?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and wrestling with your questions, and stay tuned for more blog posts! (If any of you want to write one just let me know!)
Blessings!

Summer is just around the corner!
Well this is the first post on our new Cross of Glory youth ministry blog! My hope and purpose for this blog is not merely to communicate information, but to continue conversation beyond the youth room, trips, and events in effort to help us all grow together in Christ. So as this thing moves forward, please give me your suggestions and ideas as to how this blog can be the most helpful!
We had a great last gathering at church tonight and big things are yet ahead! Next week we begin our new summer schedule, which is composed of "house church gatherings" hosted at various homes on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30pm during the months of June and July. Remember to RSVP for each of the gatherings at www.cog-youth.org to help with food prep plans and such. Next week we will be studying together Revelation chapter 1 which gives a glimpse of the second coming Jesus and a sweet revealing of what Jesus is like.
Laslty, we explored two questions tonight at our gathering as we approach summer: 1) How are you planning/wanting to grow in your relationship with Jesus this summer & 2) How are you going to help at least one other person grow in their relationship with Jesus this summer. I invite you all to respond to the first question right here on this blogsite (the second is a little more personal) so we can learn from each other and help each other grow:) Check out the resources for students and the Bible reading plan website on the left side of the blog page!
Well I think that's good for a first post, I hope you all have a great night and know I am praying for you all as you finish up school! God Bless!
